Three men who created the most
famous public art gallery in Ireland.
The Bogside Artists and Their Famous Murals
The Bogside Artists© is the name of three artists from Derry, Northern Ireland pictured, left to right, Will Kelly, Tom Kelly and Kevin Hasson. These three conceived and created The People’s Gallery (1994-2006), a series of twelve large- scale murals that are situated along one street in The Bogside called Rossville Street. This is the street that witnessed most of the mayhem throughout three decades of conflict. It is also the site of Bloody Sunday.
For many, it is sacred ground. Over the years, the gallery has become famous and many people from all over the world come to visit it. It provides a window in The Troubles.
The Bogside Artists are proud to announce that they are now conducting tours of their murals. If you are a group, you can book directly here or phone us at the studio. Tours take place daily at 12, 2 and 4 pm. Talks run from 11am to 5pm.
