                           VISITING THE STUDIO AND GALLERY

Here you can witness and reflect upon events that shaped thousands of lives and impacted the destiny of a nation. Countless tourists visit THE PEOPLE'S GALLERY each year, many of them to meet with the three men who painted the murals - The Bogside Artists - the name by which they have become known throughout the world.

Below is the new studio and gallery. This fine building is an historic monument in its own right. Skirmishes and riots often took place around here during the Troubles, so much so, that to the British army, the place was known as "Agro Corner".  The artists  are proud indeed to have their studio located in such an historic spot. Nobel Laureate John Hume officially opened the gallery earlier this year and spoke highly of the artists for their contribution to the city, their community work and their achievement.

THE PLACE TO VISIT - THE BOGSIDE ARTISTS' STUDIO                                         the bogside artists studio

The studio is situated within a few yards of the murals themselves, right at the entrance to The Bogside.  There, the artists conduct their workshops, design their murals and greet visitors from all walks of life and from all over the world.

Presentations in the studio last one hour and have been very  popular with visitors down through the years.                                              ADMISSION IS FREE.the bogside studio
